Training, Development & Delivery
Australian Road Research Board
- Worked in Thailand and Australia on an Asian Development Bank funded program to implement road safety education programs in both primary and secondary programs nationally. Developed and delivered train-the-trainer packages for teachers, and designed the framework for a 2 week training program conducted in Australia for a team from the Thailand Ministry of Education.
VicRoads
- Undertook the development of a self-paced training guide, incorporating tutorials a user notes, for the Road Crash Information System (RCIS). RCIS is a database of road crashes in Victoria used by VicRoads.
- Conducted different training workshops as part of the VicRoads Road Safety Professional Development program designed for for VicRoads and local government personnel. Workshops included training on use of the CrashStats accident database and evaluating community programs.
- Undertook the development of a professional development module on evaluation of road safety programs. This included trial of both components with target audiences - local government officers and Community Road Safety Councils. This project was conducted in association with GDP Consultancy Pty Ltd.
Department of Infrastructure
- Conducted a professional development workshop for teachers involved in the TravelSMART Schools program.
- Conducted training sessions with Traffic Safety Education Network Leaders on Getting There Safely - a secondary school public transport safety education resource. Also developed a professional development session for Traffic Safety Education Network Leaders to deliver to teachers in schools.
